Blushing Cicada Pearl Collier. An exercise in precision craftsmanship and innovation, the cicada pendant’s pearl abdomen contains an artfully integrated trilliant cut rubellite button that “magically” opens and closes its wings with seamless fluidity, embodying the cicada in flight and at rest. A delightful innovation in movement, destined to become iconic to Paspaley. Shimmering softly hued gemstones - pink tourmaline, pink sapphires, pink opal, rubellite and rainbow moonstones, evoke dawn’s first light in the Kimberley wilderness.

The cicada’s ethereal luminosity is evoked through natural white diamonds, mother-of-pearl and an exceptional 17mm Paspaley Pearl. Each collier curates a unique composition of gems cuts and hand-setting techniques. Jewels and mother-of-pearl are expertly cut to fit the cicada’s latticework wings, Paspaley’s Gem-in-Mother-of-Pearl technique adds sensual, tactile depth. 

The cicada is formed from a spectacular Paspaley Pearl selected by the Paspaley family, glistening with gemstones delicately and precisely embedded using Paspaley’s in-house developed Gem-in-Pearl setting technique. The intricate necklace chain showcases another innovative pearl setting technique, bespoke circlets of pink sapphires and diamonds fitted to each top drop pearl’s naturally grooved shape. Bud-like clusters of custom cut pink tourmalines and rare keshi pearls encircle the neck. 

The pendant and necklace may be detached and worn separately for more styling possibilities.
